The lenses are extruded, cut, and heat formed from shatterproof polycarbonate. The glasses are then layered in a scratch-resistant and anti-reflection hard coating for increased resistance to grazing and surface damage. Additional oleophobic treatment guarantees liquid and chemical protection. The lenses are polarized and ballistic-rated with ANSI Z87+ and MIL-PRF 32432 ratings and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection with distortionless clarity. The bronze-tinted lenses with a blue mirror grant optimal light transmission, absorb colors equally for proper hue perception, and nullify reflections.
The Helix Replacement Lenses are delivered with a Magpul Lens Bag manufactured from lens-safe cleaning material for maximum scratch protection during storing or shipping.
